... this is a true puzzlement to me - Kai loves books, he loves to be read to and to read on his own. recently he particularly liked this book on forestry, so i thought he would enjoy looking at it when i would wake up from his nap. but what did not cross my mind was the possibility that he could also greatly enjoy ripping it apart! especially since he is always very careful with the pages when we read. so this is what i found when i went to get him after his nap ... i was upset
... expressing my disappointment in a lengthy lecture on the consequences of ripping your book apart (like, it will now be gone forever, since the pieces are too small to tape them back together) ... the end result - a ruined book and Kai in tears
... das verstehe ich einfach nicht - wo er dieses buch doch so gerne gelesen hat! doch anscheint war es nicht weniger beeindruckend die seiten in winzige schnipsel zu reissen. das buch ist jedenfalls hinueber und nachdem ich Kai meine grosse enttaeuschung ueber seine tag zu verstehen gab war er dann auch in traenen. wo er doch sonst immer so sorgfaeltig mit seinen buechern umgeht, ist mir dieses abenteuer einfach unverstaendlich
